Bevic is Shortlisted for Charity PR Partner of the Year

We’re so proud to announce that Bevic has been shortlisted in the Charity Today 2024 Awards for Charity PR Partner of the Year!

We’re a small but mighty, award-winning agency who are proud of our clients and what we achieve together through the power of PR. We love working with purpose-led businesses and business owners who believe in giving back alongside providing a brilliant service/product to their customers.

We often find our clients are unaware of the potential of PR whether that involves the coverage in media, award wins, speaking opportunities, influencer activity, link building or partnership working. From charities to CICs, non-profits and private sector organisations partnering with those in the third sector, we work hard for our clients to raise their profile and put the spotlight on the important activity they do, alongside addressing their specific strategic goals.

Some of our successes include:

Working with CIC No Phones at Home to promote the national awareness day No Phones at Home Day which takes place on the 3rd Saturday of January, alongside ongoing awareness on the impact of smart devices. The next one takes place on the 18th January 2025!

The strategy has been focused on not only raising awareness about the day, and raising awareness on the impact of spending too much time on devices, but also positioning the founder of the CIC, Dr Charlotte Armitage as an expert in this field.

Alongside press releases, we have sought proactive and reactive expert commentary opportunities.

The results have included a special three-part feature with BBC Look North, including Dr Charlotte Armitage being the mental health expert on screen; the development of a strategic alliance with Leeds City Council’s School Wellbeing team and launching Disconnect to Reconnect Week in Leeds Primary Schools, alongside speaking opportunities at national conferences for both DWP staff and other agencies.

Highlights include achieving coverage in:

  • Stylist

  • Hello

  • OK

  • BBC Politics Today

  • BBC Radio

  • The Guardian

  • Independent

  • Cosmopolitan

  • Yorkshire Living

  • Techround

The launch of the Yorkshire Business Charter on Domestic Abuse with business coach, Ros Jones and the charity, IDAS.

The strategy was to raise awareness of the Speaking Out Conference to attract as many organisations as possible to attend and also sign up to the charter.

Highlights include being featured on:

The coverage has resulted in Ros being asked to be a TEDX speaker, alongside developing a workshop for businesses to undertake. Over 40 businesses have so far signed the charter.

It’s not just our third-sector clients raking in the rewards, our private-sector clients are too!

To help promote the charity-linked work with one of our private sector clients, and to highlight their core value of giving back, we’ve achieved coverage on The One Show for the business as part of The One Big Thank You feature. They have been shortlisted for the BBC Making a Difference Awards, the YorkMix Hero Awards and the Yorkshire Choice Awards for Most Charitable Business.

They have been featured in:

  • Building Construction magazine,

  • Selby Times, York Press,

  • Yorkshire Evening Post,

  • Yorkshire Post,

  • BBC Radio Leeds and BBC Radio York.

And that’s just to name a few, the list of our client achievements and successes could go on forever!

We are delighted to be part of the brilliant work taking place and it's a privilege and joy to help get news of these great causes and people out there for others to hear about them too!

To be shortlisted for this award for our PR activity in the charity sector is a great achievement for the team. Our mantra is to work with good people who do great things and that is a key drive behind our work, with our main focus being the achievements and success of our clients so to get a bit of a spotlight on the work we love to do for our clients is fantastic!

We’re so looking forward to the 16th of October when the Bevic team will join all the other Charity Today nominees for an afternoon of celebration and inspiration at the Awards Presentation & Dinner.

Wish us luck!
